1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the InterviewBetter platform ("Platform" or "InterviewBetter"), operated by TNGONE SOFTWARE LABS PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India. By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform or purchasing any services provided through it, you ("Candidate," "User," or "You") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- Platform: InterviewBetter is an online service marketplace that connects professionals ("Interviewers") and users ("Candidates") for the purpose of conducting mock interviews, training sessions, resume reviews, and other value-added services to aid career preparation.
- Candidate: An individual who registers on the Platform to purchase, schedule, or participate in mock interviews, training sessions, or related services.
- Interviewer: An independent professional engaged via the Platform to conduct interviews, offer training, or provide feedback. Interviewers are independent contractors vetted by the Platform through a process including qualification verification and background checks, but they are not employees of InterviewBetter.
- Interview Slot: A scheduled, fixed-duration appointment during which an interview or training session is conducted.
- No-Show: A situation where a Candidate or Interviewer fails to attend a scheduled Interview Slot without providing at least 24 hours’ prior notice of cancellation or rescheduling, or fails to join the session within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, unless caused by technical issues verifiable by the Platform.
- Services: Includes mock interviews, practice interviews, strategy calls, resume reviews, group discussions, and other training or advisory sessions offered on the Platform.
3. Services
InterviewBetter facilitates the professional development of Candidates by providing access to practice environments, recruiter-quality feedback, and structured guidance conducted by qualified Interviewers. The Platform acts solely as a facilitator and does not directly provide these services.
3.1 ATS (Automated Resume Checks)
Definition: An Applicant Tracking System–style feature that evaluates resumes against common industry criteria. It provides automated checks, heuristic scoring, and guidance to improve readability, relevance, and alignment to job requirements.
Best Use: Works best when used together with the specific job description (JD) for the role being applied to. Supplying a JD generally yields more relevant insights and recommendations.
Limitations: Built from publicly available information, practitioner interviews, and industry research about how ATS systems commonly operate. It is a generalized tool and is not tailored to, endorsed by, or affiliated with any particular employer or ATS vendor. Results are indicative, not definitive, and do not guarantee interviews, shortlisting, or hiring outcomes. Algorithmic methods, thresholds, and outputs may evolve over time as the product improves.
Warranty Disclaimer: The ATS and related outputs are provided “as‑is” and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We use reasonable skill and care in building the product, and best efforts are made to maintain quality; however, we do not warrant uninterrupted or error‑free operation.
3.2 Expert Resume Feedback
A written critique prepared by a recruiter or hiring practitioner. This is intended to closely mimic the first‑minute recruiter scan, highlighting what stands out and what can be improved. Deliverables typically include concise observations and prioritized suggestions to improve structure, clarity, evidence of impact, and role relevance. This guidance does not guarantee interviews or offers; refunds and scheduling follow Sections 5 and 6.
3.3 1:1 Resume Review
A live session with a recruiter and/or industry expert to review the resume and provide actionable feedback from a recruiter/hiring manager perspective. The session focuses on identifying issues, strengthening achievements and evidence, and improving alignment to the target role so the Candidate can implement changes. This guidance does not guarantee interviews or offers; rescheduling, no‑show, and refunds are governed by Sections 5 and 6.

3.5 Practice Interview
A focused interview session targeting specific topics or rounds.
3.6 Group Discussion
A multi‑candidate moderated group round simulation.
3.7 Strategy Call
A 1‑on‑1 advisory session for interview planning, preparation, or possible career paths.
3.8 Resume Review
A feedback session on a Candidate’s resume.
3.9 Add‑On: Employment Database
InterviewBetter may offer Candidates the option to be included in an internal employment database shared with potential employers. Inclusion is voluntary and subject to InterviewBetter’s discretion based on Candidate qualifications and profile completeness. Candidates may opt out or request removal by contacting support@interviewbetter.io. No job placement is guaranteed.
4. Fair Usage Policy
For Candidates purchasing any package with "Unlimited" in its features, the following usage policy applies to ensure meaningful progress:

InterviewBetter may modify this policy with at least 7 days’ prior notice via email or in-platform notification. Candidates will be informed of changes through their registered email address or Platform account.
5. Payments and Refund policy
All payments must be made in advance. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per Indian law, which will be displayed at checkout.
- Platform Failure: If a session cannot be conducted due to technical issues on the Platform, a full or partial refund may be provided at InterviewBetter’s discretion.
- Other Cases: Refunds for cancellations or dissatisfaction are generally not provided but may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@interviewbetter.io for refund requests.
6. Scheduling, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy
- Candidate No-Show: If a Candidate commits a No-Show (as defined in Section 2), the session will be marked as completed, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.
- Unlimited Package Misuse: If a Candidate commits a No-Show for two scheduled interviews, InterviewBetter may issue a warning. After a third No-Show, the plan may be suspended, with prior notice to the Candidate. Candidates may appeal suspensions by contacting support@interviewbetter.io.
- Interviewer No-Show: If an Interviewer commits a No-Show (as defined in Section 2):
- For Candidates on any Unlimited Package, no refund will be issued, as Candidates may schedule a new interview without time restrictions, subject to Interviewer availability.
- For Candidates on other plans, a rescheduled slot will be offered at the earliest available time. If rescheduling is not feasible, a refund for the session may be provided.
- Candidate Rescheduling: Candidates may reschedule interviews with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to the terms of their plan. Rescheduling is not permitted after a No-Show.
7. Quality of Service and Disclaimer
InterviewBetter strives to maintain high-quality services by vetting Interviewers for qualifications and professionalism. However, services are provided "as-is," and InterviewBetter does not guarantee specific outcomes from interviews or training. Feedback provided by Interviewers represents their professional opinions and is not endorsed by the Platform. If a Candidate is dissatisfied with a session, they may report their concerns to support@interviewbetter.io within 48 hours for review. InterviewBetter may offer a replacement session with a different Interviewer at its discretion.
8. Data Collection, Recording, and Use
- Recording Consent: Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance, training, legal compliance, or dispute resolution purposes.
- Usage of Recordings: Recordings will be stored securely and retained for a maximum of 12 months unless required for legal purposes. Recordings may be used to investigate disputes or abuse claims.
- AI Training: InterviewBetter may use anonymized session data, including recordings and feedback, to train artificial intelligence models to improve Platform services. Personal data will be anonymized in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, before use in AI training. Candidates may opt out of AI training at any time by contacting dpo@interviewbetter.io, and such opt-out will not affect their ability to use the Platform.
- Data Rights: Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Candidates have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data, including recordings and data used for AI training. Contact dpo@interviewbetter.io for data-related requests.
10. Independent Contractor Relationship
Interviewers are independent contractors vetted by InterviewBetter for qualifications and professionalism. They are not employees of the Platform. InterviewBetter exercises due diligence in vetting but is not liable for Interviewer actions, omissions, or performance beyond ensuring proper vetting processes. Candidates may report Interviewer concerns to support@interviewbetter.io for investigation.
11. Privacy and Anonymization
- Session Privacy: Interview sessions will not be publicly shared unless Candidates explicitly consent (e.g., for anonymized feedback to be displayed on the Platform). Personal data will be anonymized before any sharing.
- Interviewer Anonymity: Interviewers may choose to appear anonymously in sessions to protect their privacy, but their qualifications will be verified and available to candidates upon request.
- Data Protection: InterviewBetter complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, ensuring secure handling of personal data. Candidates may withdraw consent for data processing by contacting dpo@interviewbetter.io.
12. Abuse, Harassment, and Legal Indemnity
- Prohibited Conduct: Harassment, abuse, threats, or unlawful behavior during sessions is strictly prohibited. Candidates and Interviewers may report such behavior via support@interviewbetter.io.
- Platform Actions: InterviewBetter will investigate reported incidents and may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. Recordings may be used as evidence in investigations or legal proceedings.
- Liability: InterviewBetter is not liable for actions outside its control but will cooperate with authorities as required. Candidates and Interviewers agree to indemnify InterviewBetter against legal consequences arising from their intentional misconduct, provided InterviewBetter is not negligent in its vetting or oversight.
13. Dispute Resolution and Support
Issues related to services, quality, or scheduling should be reported to customer support. The escalation process is as follows:

15. Modification of Terms
InterviewBetter may modify these Terms with at least 7 days’ prior notice via email or in-platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. A version history of the Terms is included at the top of this document.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, unless local consumer protection laws permit otherwise. Arbitration may be pursued as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism.
17. Force Majeure
InterviewBetter is not liable for delays or failures to perform due to unforeseen events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, technical outages, or government restrictions. Affected Candidates will be notified and offered rescheduling or, if not feasible, a partial refund.
18. Accessibility
InterviewBetter is committed to making the Platform accessible to users with disabilities in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Features such as screen reader compatibility and captions for recordings are available. Contact support@interviewbetter.io to request accommodations.
19. Termination of Services
InterviewBetter may terminate or suspend a Candidate’s access to the Platform for reasons including violation of these Terms, repeated no-shows, misuse of services, harassment, abuse, or unlawful conduct. Additionally, if InterviewBetter reasonably determines that the Candidate is using the ATS scanning or analysis software for commercial purposes, such as reselling, redistributing, or offering ATS scoring as a paid service to third parties, it may terminate access immediately. In all cases, Candidates will have an opportunity to appeal via support@interviewbetter.io. Refunds for unused services may be considered at InterviewBetter’s discretion.
20. Commercial Use
All software, ATS tools, and related services provided through InterviewBetter are intended solely for the personal use of the Candidate who has purchased the service. Any resale, redistribution, sharing, or use of the Platform or its tools for the benefit of third parties, including offering ATS-related services commercially, is strictly prohibited. If InterviewBetter determines that such unauthorized third-party or commercial use has occurred, it may terminate the Candidate’s access to the Platform immediately, without liability. Refunds or credits will not be applicable under such circumstances.
